COVID Vaccine Vial Photos

As a COVID-19 Contact Tracer in April 2021, I was tasked with creating a presentation for the Department of Health outlining the differences between each vaccine type. Recognizing the need for visuals to drive home the information, I came up with an innovative solution.

I took an expired Xylocane vial and created a series of labels representing each vaccine type. With my left hand holding the vial and my right hand capturing the shot, I took a series of photos that effectively conveyed the key differences between the vaccines.

Satisfied with the results, I decided to share the images with the world, making them available online for anyone to use, royalty-free. The response was truly remarkable, with millions of views and over 80,000 downloads. My photos were even used in news articles and research papers, including by the esteemed University of Arizona.

I am proud to have played a role in educating the public on the important topic of COVID-19 vaccines. These images are a testament to the power of visual storytelling and the importance of providing accurate and accessible information in the face of a global crisis.
