Risdon Middle School

Project Overview:

I was tasked with designing a logo for Risdon Middle School in 2018, a new middle school in Renton, WA set to open soon. Through consultation with district staff and future school administration, our objective is to create a logo that embodies the school's values and spirit. The finalized logo will feature a wolf as the central element, with the incorporation of the school's colors to establish a cohesive visual identity. The logo will be implemented across various mediums and will serve as a unifying symbol for the school community.

Design Goals:

  1. Reflecting the School's Values: The logo should visually communicate the core values of Risdon Middle School, such as integrity, collaboration, and resilience. It should evoke a sense of pride, unity, and belonging among students, staff, and the wider community.

  2. Incorporating a Wolf Motif: The wolf, a symbol of strength, intelligence, and loyalty, will be the central element of the logo. It should be depicted in a dynamic and spirited manner, capturing the energy and enthusiasm of middle school students. The portrayal of the wolf should strike a balance between approachability and authority.

  3. Showcasing School Colors: The logo should integrate the school's colors harmoniously throughout its design. The colors should evoke a sense of vibrancy, positivity, and school spirit. By using the school colors strategically, the logo will establish a consistent visual identity that can be easily recognized and associated with Risdon Middle School.

Implementation and Usage: The finalized logo will be applied across various platforms, including signage, stationery, uniforms, digital media, and merchandise. It will be prominently displayed in the school building and used in official communications and promotional materials.
